Timex TW2W45700 | 2024 Edition – I remember as a young dude living in Newport Beach back in the 90’s, and I was dating a pretty hot girl that might have been certifiable…but, she was fun and sexy.
The company I was working for at the time had an extra Corvette parked in the warehouse, and I decided to take her out on a date in it. I saw this happen on television but as soon as she jumped in the Corvette, she instantly turned into Triple X Vixen and I immediately felt like Steve McQueen. Life was good.
That is what this new Timex Expedition North Field Chronograph watch with GUNMETAL bracelet does for me.
Now, in my advanced middle age, I am mostly secure with my manhood, but this watch transforms me into the man maybe I wish I was. Beefy, toned, pilot, Formula One racer, summitted Everest 3 times, a vacation home in Italy, ad infinitum.
The subtle masculinity of the gunmetal case finish and bracelet combined with a sort of racetrack tarmac textured dial highlighted with modern and manly block graphics denoting the ten-minute increments define my hairy chest brand without the gold necklace.
The lume for the markers and and the hour and minutes hands makes it a joy to look at 4x times at night as the old man prostrate demands release.
The watch case is stainless steel with an adjustable stainless steel bracelet. The titanium-colored PVD or physical vapor deposition is highly resistant to scratches, corrosion, and tarnish.
Love the screw down crown logo, and the watch is able to scale 100-meter depths. But, for me, it is in the shower. LOVE THIS BRACELET and the center straps have the added manly texture. This watch works well with my scruffy jeans and all the way to my poly slacks and starched button down.
The Sapphire Crystal lens should keep things mostly scratch free after jumping into the Deftones moshpit. My chunky 8in wrist matches the 43mm case, and the 20mm lugs position the bigger watch face perfectly. There is no adjustment options with the clasp, but I easily removed a link on each side and the watch fits perfectly now.
I don’t want a watch that screams 2nd amendment or that I pay for a 25-year-old girlfriend, but being a secure dude in today’s woke world is more and more difficult.
This new Timex gives me permission to jump on the pickleball court and subtly communicate to the other players I am here to kick your ass!
